The week before spring break is always a drag because lots of studying for the final tests of the quarter + wishing for the weekend seems endless. Nonetheless, this week was full of gorgeous weather and a weekend trip to New York City for my very first college visit. Stay tuned for a travel diary (hopefully) coming soon! I had the best time and am so thankful to have been able to travel with my sister and mom. I am now on break and will be enjoying some time at home for the next week or so. 4.2.17- Spent this Sunday running some errands with my momma and soaking up the sunshine in my new sunnies.

4.3.17-Starting the week off with a super positive mindset because only four days until spring break!

4.4.17- I have never been so happy while wearing a skirt. I thrifted this next to new J Crew skirt for $6 over the weekend and am completely obsessed.

4.5.17- Today was a tank top and jeans weather kind of day. It has been absolutely beautiful out. And yet another day without a day in my life picture because I honestly have been doing nothing but studying for my final tests of the quarter!

4.6.17- The last day of school before break is always such a drag. Luckily Madison, my mom, and I headed out early for a little weekend trip to NYC!

4.7.17- Woke up in NYC this morning which was so exhilarating. Then I got to visit the Fashion Institute of Technology and went for dinner with my fav cousins!

As many of you know, I have a twin sister, Madison. Obviously we are not identical but some weeks she too wants to dress nicely. However, Madison often comes to me with a closet full of cute clothes saying she is unsure of what pieces pair together well. So this week I took advantage of her asking and decided that she would be in front of the camera rather than behind it for a change. Madison typically dresses very preppy. She loves Vineyard Vines and prefers to keep things pretty simple in terms of dressing. In knowing this, I came up with five outfits for her to wear this ‘week’. Keep reading to check them out!

Styling My Twin Sister for a WeekOutfit #1- This outfit is actually from Madison’s DC trip a few days back when I styled her. It was the epitome of a spring day so I had her wear light layers. Starting with a classic white tee, then a gingham button up, and on top of that a Vineyard Vines shep shirt. This made her outfit appropriate for all the temperatures the day may have had!

Outfit #2- Off the shoulder tops are super trendy right now so when I remembered Madison had this one in her closet from back to school season I immediately suggested she pair it with some classic skinny jeans and Converse.

Styling My Twin Sister for a WeekOutfit #3-  I chose to style Madison up for the rainy weather as well. Her Hunters are navy so they paired perfectly with the classic navy whale Vineyard Vines shirt and because it was chillier, I had her pop on her red and navy Vineyard Vines vest over top.

Outfit #4- I chose this outfit because it’s been quite some time since this simple cold shoulder top of Madison’s was worn. It paired super well with her pair of snake-skin sandals and her daily jewelry.

Styling My Twin Sister for a WeekOutfit #5- Madison is a huge fan of the loose peplum style tank tops and with the warmer weather creeping up on us I decided to pair this one from American Eagle with a pair of white Jacks and a white cardigan.

Overall I am fairly pleased with the outfits that I picked for this week of styling Madison. However, I felt that styling her in the colder months was much easier because I was able to mix and match a variety of pieces and overall she had more clothing to work with. Hopefully before the next week of styling Madison I will have more options to choose from and outfits will come more naturally.

I am obsessed with Pinterest and that is no secret. It is an awesome way to connect with other bloggers, gain inspiration, and keep all your favorite pictures in one place. All of these reasons being why last year I began to recreate a few of the pictures I had saved on my Pinterest account every couple of months. These posts challenge me to really look in my closet and get creative with my style and wardrobe. I totally recommend doing this if you are ever stuck in a clothing rut (like myself lately) or are interested in trying out some newer trends!

* Keep in mind that these outfit recreations are not meant to be exact matches and may be minorly restyled in order to fit my personal style.*

If I’m being honest, the weather where I live has not reached 100% tee shirt weather yet. Therefore, three quarter length tees are the perfect option for this time of year. I’m throwing on my super trendy and comfortable black block heels from Target and a neck scarf to tie the look together.

A classic white tee and your favorite jeans are the perfect thing to reach for when you’re questioning what to wear. I’m popping on a light cardigan and a few dainty necklaces to finish off the look.

Light layers are so essential for this time of year. Chilly weather in the morning and warmer temps in the afternoon calls for a classic white tee with a trusty denim jacket over top. I threw on these lace-up flats for a pop of color and the perfect in between season shoe vibe.

3.29.17-  Posted a spring choker haul today and was so happy about it. I am seriously so in love with Bree and all of her products.

3.12.17- Spent my Sunday the same as usual: running errands with my momma and shooting some spring looks for the blog this week.

3.7.17- Spending time journaling in my Bible after a long day at school. I read the most amazing Psalm tonight that was such a reminder that Jesus can take away all of our anxieties if we turn our hearts to Him.

3.9.17- Chilling in my Sanuks today; the are the comfiest! Plus taking some pictures for tomorrows blog post after school today. I got stuck in hardcore denim on denim today when taking pictures of individual clothing pieces and ended up falling loving it!

Hello, friends! This week has been nothing short of ah-mazing so I am super excited to be here chatting with you all. First of all, the weather was beautiful. Seventy five in February is enough to make the whole week perfect, if I’m being honest. Secondly, I got outside! It sounds stupid, but getting outside after school and simply leaving the house for a bit before sitting down for another three hours doing homework is such a stress reliever. Third, I got to wear sandals… in February. Did I mention this weather was amazing lol?! Y’all, my heart is just so full and happy as I am writing this and I am so excited for this next season and chapter soon to come. I love fresh starts and knowing that next week brings March is so comforting and exciting. What has been making you all happy lately?! Let me know in the comments below; I want to hear! 2.19.17- Madison and I spent our Sunday sipping some Shamrock Shakes and playing basketball at the park after saying goodbye to our momma for the week.

2.20.17- My Monday off was spent at Dunkin with Jean before walking nearly four miles around town and playing basketball with Madison yet again. Blogging, watching Gilmore Girls, and reading a bit more of Acts before heading to bed.

2.21.17- Spring is on its way so I broke out all the vibrant colors today plus my favorite lipgloss to start the week off with a bang.

2.22.17- Seriously though, how can you not be happy midday when you open your lunch and it looks like this?! So cute and colorful; it’s the little things y’all!

2.23.17- Walks to the park on the sunniest, happiest Thursday ever! No soul could ever feel sad when it’s seventy-five and sunny in February!!

2.24.17- I am so convinced that absolutely nothing can go wrong when you’re spending the day dressed in overalls. Spending time with Lil at school today and cheering for basketball during their first round of playoffs. Out to dinner with my dad, Colton, and Madison after.

2.25.17- Getting out of the house today and doing things I wish I did every weekend. Exploring downtown, shopping, and eating Chickfila. Pretty positive it doesn’t get much better than that.

Right when I started to think that spring weather would never show a glimpse of itself, Mother Nature decided to give us weather in the high sixties and low seventies! We’re going on almost a week in a row now with the most amazing sunny, warm weather and I can not say I am the tiniest bit disappointed by it.

The other day I had a girls day with my mom and wore this super cute outfit that was perfect for the fabulous Spring weather we have been having so I decided that I would share it with you all.

I paired this simple off the shoulder top with some distressed ankle lengthen jeans that I bought on clearance from Old Navy a while back. I threw on my espadrilles fromForever 21 because they scream Spring to me and added my Kendra Scott for an extra touch. I am also wearing a few random Alex and Ani’s and my Boho Betty bracelet.
