Pinterest Outfit Recreations (Holiday Edition)

I can not believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I can hardly wait. Today I wanted to share some more Pinterest outfit recreations. I adore recreating outfits that I have saved because it allows me to search my closet and really be creative with the stuff I already own. I tried to pick a few outfits for this post that are more appropriate for the holiday season in case you are still in need of some outfit inspiration for the next few says. Alright before I keep talking too much, let’s get on into the outfits!

By the way, these outfits aren’t as similar as some of my other Pinterest outfit recreations! I apologize, but I wanted to really be creative and step out of my comfort zone a bit!

I chose this outfit to recreate because I am obsessed with velvet currently! This dress is a few years old and paired so perfectly with my favorite lace up heels.

Outfit Details- dress: Aeropostale, necklaces: Loft and Charming Charlies, heels: DSW

This is one of my favorite outfits that I have pinned recently but it was the hardest to recreate. I haven’t worn my leather jacket lately so I pulled the out for the look and paired it with this cozy grey turtle neck.

Outfit Details- jacket: Target, sweater: Old Navy, jeans: Hollister, booties: TJ Maxx, purse: Target, choker: DIY

This little black dress outfit is perfect for this time of year if you show on a jacket and a pop of color somewhere. I figured a maroon bubble necklace and a maroon lippie will completely tie this look together.

Outfit Details- dress: Old Navy, necklace: Old Navy, flats: Old Navy

Well that’s it for today’s post. I will be back soon for a Weekly Wrap Up sometime this weekend. Until then, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy holidays! I am so very thankful for you all and hope you have the best time off. Sending all my love your way. With love, McKenz.

Gift Ideas for the Gals (under $50)

The holiday season is in full swing which for a lot of people means being stuck with no ideas on what to get their gals. I’m here to get rid of that uncertainty and  give you some ideas for all of your girl friends and sisters. I tried to keep all of the gift ideas under $30 to help keep you from breaking the bank (except for the Kendra Scott necklace that I couldn’t help but throw in!). IMG_2652.JPG

Swell water bottles have been everywhere lately and they are just too cute. With a variety of colors, finishes, and sizes you are sure to find now that is the perfect gift. Add a personalized monogram to it and you just gave such a practical gift while still showing some thought.

I’m pretty positive no girl would be disappointed with a little bit of makeup in their stocking. The Too Faced better Than Sex Mascara is a great gift, they come in so many cute holiday sets around this time of yer and are perfect to try before committing to the full size.

Socks used to be the gift I dreaded when I was younger but came to appreciate as I got older. Whether their a pair of fun, holiday fuzzy socks or thick knit boot socks they are such  treat to receive!

Every girl lust’s over jewelry. Pandora has some gorgeous rings and see are as cheap as $25 like the one I have pictured here! Kendra Scott necklaces are such a statement where I live and many girls wear them layered with chunkier necklaces. They are on the pricier side but would make such a great gift. (Perfect for the girls in your family!)

I hate buying books with my own money but love receiving them as a gift around the holidays. Find out your friends favorite author and treat them to a new book and some hot cocoa so they can hang by the fire! They are sure to love it.

Notebooks are another super cute idea. Wrap up a notebook, some pens, and some candy and you have a thoughtful gift just like that. Marble notebooks are all over Pinterest right now and fit so many girls aesthetics’.

Old Navy has some of my favorite booties because they’re affordable and comfortable. Sure they might be around $45 to begin with but Old Navy is constantly running flash sales or handing out Old Navy Cash so you are sure to find a good deal on them. Plus, what girl doesn’t love a new pair of shoes?!

Scarves, hats, and gloves are always fun little gifts too. They’re perfect for your trendy friend that loves layering up or lives in a colder climate! Old Navy and Target have great ones around this time of year.

There are so many other small gifts I could think of to give to your girls but I’ll leave you with these for now. I hope you all got a few ideas from this post and enjoyed it! Have a wonderful day and a very happy holidays. If you have any questions, comments, or requests please leave them below! With love, McKenz.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

We are entering the best time of the year, the holidays! The first of many is Thanksgiving obviously and I thought what better thing to post than some outfit ideas for you all. I tried my best to include some variety within the outfits and thought that these four outfits were perfect for this time of year.

To begin, I have a super cozy, chunky outfit. Turtle necks are perfect for this time of year and so is olive-green. I’m pairing this sweater from Old Navy with some matching boot socks from Kohls to create a matchy-matchy look. My skinny jeans are from Hollister and I paired this outfit with my UGG Booties to create some contrast between all the green. I simply accessorize with a long gold necklace from Loft and added a gold watch from Kohls to tie the look together.

Some families simply stay at home for the holiday and don’t get too dressed up. I personally like to stay comfortable in what I call my ‘eating clothes’ for Thanksgiving. This outfit means a loose sweater and some leggings for the win. My knit is from the Gap Outlet, my tank that is layered underneath is from Old Navy, my leggings are from Hollister, and my riding boots are from Target. I also made sure to pair some leg warmers to coordinate with the tank and add a little something extra.

For the third look I wanted to incorporate this mustard yellow top which is perfect to wear around this time of year. It’s fun, festive, and the cold shoulder is totally in style right now. The matching choker is from Forever 21, my girlfriend jeans are from Gap, and my booties are the same UGG one’s from the first look!

Some people prefer to go the dress or skirt route so if this is your situation, this is the perfect outfit for you. My button front suede skirt is super trendy and perfect for this time of year. I added a black sweater to keep at least half of my body warm and added my lace up flats to the look to coordinate with the black of the sweater. I added a gold necklace and a gold watch to match the buttons on the skirt. I adore this outfit and I hope you all do too.

Well that’s it for my Thanksgiving outfit ideas; I hope you all enjoyed. Be sure to let me know which outfit was your favorite in the comments below along with any suggestions or questions you may have! I hope you all have the best day and before I go I just wanted to remind all of you how THANKFUL I am to have you guys with me this Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for stopping by. With love, McKenz.
