January Favorites

January has come and gone in the blink of an eye meaning it’s time for another monthly favorites post. Keep reading to see what makeup products, outfits, and Bible verses I have been loving, plus everything in between.

This month I have absolutely fallen in love with street style and any clothing piece that is out there and different. I haven’t necessarily incorporated these things into my everyday wardrobe but it’s getting there! This month I experimented with lots of denim, chokers, anything velvet, and various shoes that I received for Christmas. Above are a few of my favorite outfits from this month.

IMG_4339.JPGAs far as makeup goes, I have fallen in love with matte liquid lipsticks and lip gloss. Something about lip gloss just does it for me. I have gone back to using one eyeshadow palette per week in hopes to equally use my makeup and have to say that Naked One was definitely my favorite this month. Other than that, I haven’t really come across any jaw dropping products this month.

I figured I’d show you all my favorite page in my Bible from this month. It took me forever but Psalm 86 is so beautiful that it was worth it. These verses are such a reminder that Jesus has the power to save us with his love if we open up and allow him to. I highly recommend you reading these verses!

I am still watching 90210 but will most likely be finishing soon so leave me Netflix suggestions below… please. For music I have been loving the songs ‘More Than Anyone’ by Gavin DeGraw and ‘Be Yourself’ by Harrison Storm.

This month I have really wanted to be better in every way. I am trying to really step up my blogging game and slowly but surely up my Instagram game and I want to thank you all because I wouldn’t be where I am without you all. Also a huge hank you for helping me break record views this month! Stay tuned for some very exciting content coming your way in February!

IMG_4340.JPGWhat have you been loving this month. I would love to hear or read your monthly favorites post. Leave your comment or link below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have for me. Wishing you the best February ahead. With love, McKenz

Winter Clothing Haul

Hey, friends! With all of the after holiday deals and some Christmas money in my pocket, I could not help but hit up the mall and do a little shopping while I was in New York. Of course, I did not come home empty handed and I can’t say I’m disappointed about it. So today I am sharing my bargain hunting finds with you!

The first store I went to was Aeropostale. Yes, I know what you’re thinking but the whole store was 90% off due to them closing so I was able to find some really good deals on some surprisingly super cute pieces that I found.

I picked up the same turtle neck in three colors. Camel, grey, and maroon. And a simple black mock neck tee. All for $12. Crazy… I know.

Old Navy is always my place to find good deals. Let’s be real, when do I ever got there and leave empty handed. I always go for the clothes with the damaged tags because there at least an additional 50% off the clearance price and their only “damaged” because they were bought online. So yes, I did buy two perfectly good pairs of boyfriend jeans for a total of $12.

A light wash distressed pair and my first pair of dark wash ones. I’m in love.

I had a gift card from Target so these clearance booties ended up only costing me $5 out of my actual pocket. Sam&Libby never disappoints plus it was better than buying more lipstick that I already had three similar shades of.

IMG_3490.JPGLight grey = so cute.

From Forever 21, a few chokers that sadly were not on any sort of sale. It’s alright though, I have a vision for all of these bad boys.

A light denim one, a dark denim one, and a leather one.

IMG_3492.JPGLastly, the cutest purse ever that my aunt bought me while on vacation. She’s the best and this was on double clearance… SCORE!

Isn’t it so cute, I love the Western-ish look.

Well that’s a wrap for my Winter Haul. I have officially banned myself from shopping until Spring break. We’ll see how well that goes. I really want to get more into styling pieces and start doing more lookbooks because that is what I truly enjoy writing about. So, if you have any questions, comments, or requests please leave them below! Thank you so much for sticking around. With love, McKenz.

Black Friday Haul

Woo, Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year which is partially why I am so thrilled to be uploading this post. I went to so many different stores but only purchased things from a few. I also didn’t do too much damage which my wallet is super thankful for. However, I did get a few things that I will have to wait to receive for Christmas. Anyways, I love hauls so I figured I would share my finds with you all anyways.

Recently I have been  getting more and more into the athleisure style. When I found these two pairs os leggings I instantly fell in love. They are just to die for, how could you not?! The maroon pair on the left I picked up from Old Navy in a size Small and the hunter green pair are from TJ Maxx.

I have been on the hunt for a pair of baggier jeans that I can patch the heck out of for fun. This pair from Old Navy was drum roll please…… $2.20!!! Crazy, I know. They were a 2 petite and 90% off due to the size, talk about a SCORE! I also got this wrap, poncho, cape, whatever you want to call it from Old Navy as well. It’s so cute and I loved that it had blush pink, maroon, and navy in it.

These two chokers I picked up from Forever 21. If I’m being honest, they weren’t on any type of sale but they were super cute and I have been wanting a thick black one. Plus, how cute is the plaid one for the holidays?!

I picked up the Buxom $10 set from Sephora last year and was so happy I did. I use the products from it like every other day. So when I saw they were doing another one of these deals, I was too excited not to get another one.

IMG_2202.JPGI picked up this ivory vest from Old Navy too, such a staple. I also placed an order from Charming Charlie’s because I had a gift card. However, my stuff has not arrived yet so I don’t have anything to show you. I will be sure to do so once it arrives though.

Well that’s it for today’s post. I hope you all enjoyed. What was your  biggest score on Black Friday? I would love to hear in the comments below. I will be sure to do a post styling some of these pieces soon, so keep your eyes peeled! Have a fabulous day my friends, thank ya so much for stopping by. With love, McKenz.

One Shirt Four Seasons

Good morning and happy Wednesday friends. I am starting this morning with a full heart and putting my trust in the Lord. Psalams 54:6 says “I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.” I hope you all are having a fabulous day and will continue to spread happiness with others throughout the day. Today i am going to be sharing with you how to style one shirt throughout four different seasons. With everybody scattered around the country, I’m fully aware that the temperatures and climate are different. In fact, it was sixty degrees on Monday and are supposed to be getting snow this afternoon. The weather here is basically bipolar which is why I felt this blog post might help some of my fellow readers that are suffering from the same struggles. I hope you enjoy, don’t forget to subscribe and follow me on Instagram @StyledByMcKenz. With love, McKenz.

The tank top that I’m styling in all four seasons is from Old Navy. I have it in fie other colors and it’s only $9.99. You can find it in stores and online, it’s high neck, light weight, and is best if left out to air dry.

10 Ways To Wear A Scarf

Happy Monday everyone. One of my biggest winter wardrobe staples are scarves. I really do feel that they can totally transform an outfit while adding an extra layer to keep you warm. Today I am showing you ten different outfits, all paired with a scarf. I hope you enjoy and if you missed yesterdays weekly wrap up, click here. I hope you enjoy, leave me some requests if you have any. With love, McKenz.

If you’ve read my posts before, you would know that my army jacket is one of my most cherished pieces in my closet. I love wearing it with neutral colors and adding it to a simple outfit to dress it up.

My denim jacket is another one of my favorite pieces, although some will argue that it went out of style three years ago. I love a scarf over my flannel to add an extra layer. I also love my red scarf to add a pop of color into my wardrobe.

I love this pink oxford, I’ve had it for quite some time now and love it paired with a scarf, a statement necklace, or even left open with a tank top underneath. I tend to stick to earth tones when it comes to my winter wardrobe so the pink is a nice change of pace.

My lace up flats are my absolute favorite pair of shoes by far. Don’t be fooled they are like any old pair of flats and can be worn in the winter despite what others may think. Mine are super comfortable and part of Old Navy’s winter collection.

Maroon is my favorite color and this off white scarf from Old Navy (like most of my scarves). It is one of my most worn, considering it matches almost everything in my closet.

And last but not least, one of my favorites. A flannel with a sweater paired over top and a scarf to match the accent colors of the flannel. I almost always have on socks that match my scarf, it’s my favorite way to dress up any outfit.

3 Ways To Style A Leather Jacket

Happy Wednesday everybody! Today I am going to be showing you three different ways to style your leather jacket! I dressed up as Sandy from the movie Grease for Halloween last year and needed a leather jacket. So I went out and bought this one from the kids section at Target for $20.00. If I’m being honest, I haven’t reached for this jacket since Halloween, so when I was requested to style a leather jacket I was up for the challenge on finding a few different ways to wear mine. I hope you guys enjoy the looks I’ve put together. Stay smiling today. With love, McKenz.

This first look is my favorite. I figured most people have either a white or black tank top somewhere in the back of their closet which is why I chose this clothing item for the outfit. I decided to cuff my jeans with this outfit and wear my lace up flats to add a chic feel to my already edgy outfit.

Outfit Details: jacket- Target, tank- Old Navy, jeans- Hollister, lace up flats- Old Navy, necklaces- Charming Charlie and Forever 21, watch- Kate Spade, bracelets- Alex and Ani

I love flannels and I know most people do so I decided to pair my black and white one with a fitted, black t-shirt to break up the draped feeling that my jacket and flannel create when combined. I paired my black and white converse with this look to keep it monochromatic. But, feel free to switch it up with a colored flannel or even a fun pop by adding a colored shoe or purse!

Outfit Details: jacket- Target, flannel- Old Navy, t-shirt- Target, jeans- Hollister, shoes- Converse, watch- Kate Spade, necklaces- Charming Charlie and Forever 21

I love this outfit for a time when it’s super cold outside and you’re in need of pairing durable shoes with a stylish top. For this look I simply zipped up my jacket and added a white scarf to match my boot socks. Feel free to add as many layers as possible under this to fully bundle up!

Outfit Details: jacket- Target, scarf- Old Navy, jeans- Hollister, boot socks- Kohls, rain boots- Nordstrom Rack, watch- Kate Spade
