Transitioning into Spring

Good morning everyone. I know I’m not the only one who lives in a state with weather that’s forty degrees one day and seventy five the next day. I’ve never really liked Spring for that reason but if you’re anything like me than this post is perfect for you. Today I am here to show you my favorite clothing pieces and beauty tips to help ease into Spring. I hope you all have enjoyed my last two posts, if you missed them click here and here. Thank you so much for 400 Instagram followers and the endless love and support. Wishing you the happiest of days. With love, McKenz.

One of my favorite things to do as we move into the warmer months is switch up my purse. I tend to reach for my darker colored bags during Winter so when it started to warm up here I started reaching for my gold cross body from Gap, just look how cute that tassel on the side is.

I also love switching up my perfume. I almost always have on Vanilla from bath and Body Works but when the sun is shining I love Sunkissed from Victorias Secret Pink. It smells like the beach in a bottle and brings a smile to my face just by looking at it.

I can’t be the only one that struggles with picking out shoes. It feels like boot weather when you leave the house and sandal season when you come home. I opt for my lace up flats from Old Navy because they show skin without being too much. I also love these knock off Jack Rogers from Amazon because they go with everything.

I often paint my nails a nude or berry color throughout the Winter months but when it comes to the Spring I like to reach for the bright colored polishes in my collection. Bubblegum pink and white are two of my favorites along with coral which you can almost always find on my toes. My two favorite brands for an even, flawless finish are Sally Hansen Hard As Nails and Essie.

My Urban Decay Naked Three Palette is perfect for this time of year. It’s full of rose gold eyeshadows that look gorgeous on the eyes. If you don’t want to break the bank check out the Covergirl TruNaked Palettes. If you’re unsure read this review that has my full thoughts and swatches of this palette.

Start swapping out your vampy lip colors for a bright pink or pop of color. My favorite lippies in the spring are the Essence Lipstick in Natural Beauty, the Urban Decay Lipstain, and the Lipilicious Lip-gloss in Cotton Candy.

Another makeup favorite that I start reaching for in the warmer months is blush because it adds a natural looking flush to your cheeks and a healthy glow. I love this four color Blush Palette from Elf.

Lastly I like to start adding color into my jewelry stack. I picked this watch up from Kohls about a year ago and still adore it. I love stacking my Alex and Anis and pairing them with a few pink jeweled bracelets from DSW for subtle, fun pops of color.
